Photos show what each room looks like. A floor plan shows how the rooms fit together, and that's often the question that decides whether a buyer schedules a showing.

Buyers want floor plans

NAR asks recent buyers which website features they found most useful. In the 2025 report, floor plans ranked right behind photos and property details:

57% of buyers

who searched online rated floor plans "very useful," behind only photos (81%) and detailed property information (77%) (NAR 2025 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers).

Zillow reports a similar appetite: 80% of buyers agree that a dynamic, interactive floor plan helps them understand a home better.

What a floor plan answers that photos can't

  • Where the bedrooms are. Is the primary suite on the main floor? Are the kids' rooms near the parents? Buyers with specific needs check this first.
  • How the space flows. Is the kitchen open to the living room? Where does the garage enter?
  • Real room sizes. Wide-angle photos can't show exact dimensions. Measurements let buyers see whether their furniture will fit.
  • Whether it's worth the drive. Buyers who understand the layout before the showing are the ones who show up ready to write an offer.

It helps you and your sellers, too

Floor plans cut down on back-and-forth questions, help buyer's agents present the home to their clients, and make your listing look more complete than the ones next to it. They're also useful in print flyers and listing presentations.

What it costs

A floor plan with measurements is a $55 add-on, and it's included in our Sapphire and Diamond packages. Every Airbnb package includes one too, because guests want to know where everyone sleeps.
